EMDR + IFS Intensives
Deeper Healing, Faster Pace.
If you've been dealing with and trying to heal from your trauma for a long time, you already know how redundant weekly therapy can become.
The trauma-dumping, the everyday chaos, the crises and little fires that arise and consume a whole month's worth of sessions three times a year...
All while you avoid the burning building behind you.
Not because you want to, but…
Because Weekly Therapy Just Isn’t It.
Weekly therapy just does not provide the proper framework for deep, targeted trauma work.
Intensives, which are planned sessions of 3-5 hours, do provide the space for deep, targeted trauma work.
If you're truly ready...We can do this. We can spend 3 days together and do 6 months' worth of therapy.
What is an EMDR+IFS Intensive?
-
In therapy, the integration of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) involves a dynamic, gentle and effective approach to healing that addresses both the immediate impact of distressing experiences and the underlying internal conflicts within the self.
EMDR helps to facilitate the neural- reprocessing of traumatic memories and emotions, allowing clients to process them more adaptively.
Meanwhile, IFS presents and explores the complex inner landscape of the individual, recognizing and working with various "parts" or aspects of the self and their interactions.
Together, EMDR and IFS work synergistically: IFS identifies and prepares the hurt, distressed, and “stuck” parts of the client while EMDR provides a tangible and targeted means of facilitating the reprocessing.
Together, EMDR+IFS create a clear and effective approach that makes way for the reintegration of past events which have continued to disrupt a client’s daily life.
As an IFS and EMDR trained clinician, I am skilled at assessing, planning, preparing and reprocessing the target “parts” of my clients.

The cost is $225/hour.
The cost for the 3-hour A&M is $675 and each 4-hour Reprocessing session is $900.
The cost for the Debriefing and 90-Minute Pre-Intensive Interview sessions are $337.50. The fees for the 90-Minute sessions are due at the time of service.
At the time of scheduling, you will owe a deposit of 50% of the A&M and one Reprocessing session. The total deposit amount is $785. If you change your mind, you can get a refund on the deposit (minus processing fees) up to 14 days in advance of cancellation. Because these sessions require so much planning and time reserved, I cannot offer a refund of the deposit within the 14-day window.
Once your Intensive is booked, your consents are signed and your deposit is paid, I will send you your workbook (either by mail or Google doc, whichever you prefer) and we will start the process! You can message me, as needed, for assistance in completing the workbook.
Promotional Financing Options Are Available Through Care Credit.

In a standard hour-long session, we spend 20-30 minutes getting to the ‘deep space’ where processing takes place.
We then need another 5-10 minutes to get back to the surface safely after the trauma processing happens.
You can see how the math is adding up….Every hour long session gives you only 20-30 minutes maximum of trauma work.
In an intensive, we only need to ‘dive in’ and ‘resurface’ once for every 3 hour session.
When you do one three-hour block, you get substantially more deep work done than you would in three one-hour blocks.
Should You Consider an EMDR+IFS Intensive?
Intensives are not simply ‘longer’ therapy sessions. Intensives are planned weeks in advance and include extensive preparation from both the client and the therapist.
Intensives are focused, intentionally outlined sessions. Intensives allow the opportunity to progress through your symptoms in a more succinct and focused way without the interruption of a 50-minute session.
An intensive format may decrease overall treatment time because of time not spent on:
checking in at the beginning of each session
addressing current crises and concerns
focusing on stabilizing and coping skills that the client won’t need after healing
assisting the client in regaining composure at the end of the session.
Existing Clients.
You’ve been seeing Jessica or another EMDR or IFS Therapist and want to jump-start or reboot your trauma reprocessing.
Long-Time Therapy Go-er.
You’ve been in therapy for a long time already. You’ve made tons of progress, but realize something or several things have been missed.
You aren’t usually in Michigan.
I can only work with you if your feet are in Michigan. If you travel in for 2-3 days, we can do 9-12 hours of intensive trauma reprocessing.
Get Unstuck.
You’ve been in weekly therapy and find yourself circling around the same feeling, pattern or behavior without new clarity, insight or resolution.
See The Changes Faster.
Instead of 12 weekly, hour-long sessions, we’ll do 12 hours of therapy in 3 days. You’ll do in 3 days more than you would in 12 weeks.
